Get support on the growing, selling, and business side of your flower farm. Whether you’re starting out or making big changes, these one-to-one Zoom sessions with Julie Treanor or Christy Ralphs help you pinpoint your biggest questions and get practical answers you can actually use.
Want guidance that meets you where you are?
Let’s talk.
Growing flowers is one skill. Running a business that sells them is another.
Most of us learn the growing side through experience, but the business side can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re juggling planting schedules, sales, marketing, and customer relationships all at once.
Business mentoring gives you a place to step back and look at the bigger picture. It’s a chance to talk through ideas, solve problems faster, and make decisions with more confidence—while learning from mentors who have been where you are and know what works (and what doesn’t).
With mentoring, you get:
Clarity on where to focus your time and energy.
Practical strategies that fit your business, not a one-size-fits-all formula.
Support and perspective from someone who understands the challenges of seasonal flower growing.
Partnering with a mentor gives you the tools and guidance to make steady progress and keep your business moving forward with less stress and more certainty.
The co-founders of Floral Business Activator bring distinct expertise and perspectives to support your flower-growing business.
Julie helps people, businesses, and flowers grow. A qualified coach and business mentor, Julie has been running The Pickery, a micro flower farm north of Wellington, NZ, for the past 7 years. She loves nothing better than thinking, writing, and talking about the business of seasonal flowers.
Julie co-founded the Wellington Flower Collective and created the online directory of New Zealand flower farms to make it easier for people to buy direct from flower growers.
Christy owns Nourish Gardens, a small-scale flower farm and education centre on Waiheke Island. With a background in teaching, she delights in sharing knowledge to help others succeed in building sustainable flower businesses.
Christy is a founding member of Floral Collective Aotearoa, an Auckland based wholesale flower market. Christy has found herself to be the unofficial spokesperson for a variety of nationwide campaigns highlighting the local flower industry.
Belinda established The Flowering Field, a boutique, small-scale flower farm in Burra, NSW, Australia, in 2020. She sells fresh and dried flowers year-round, both wholesale and retail, and has extensive experience growing in a cold climate.
With a passion for flowers and gardening, and a background in marketing, Belinda enjoys helping other growers build their own successful floral businesses.
In 2025, she hosted the inaugural Australian Flower Farmer Retreat for the Business Activator in Australia and co-hosts the Australian Growers Monthly Mentoring Session with Christy.
